Question: Where Could I Find Cheap Bunk Bed Frames?

I have looked on Amazon and Ikea and yet they are all asking for around $200 a frame.

Help?

sweet.caroline June 5, 2010 at 5:53 am: $200 for bunk bed frames are cheap. But if you want something cheaper than that, you will have to look at consignment store or flea market.

Bub June 5, 2010 at 6:48 am: We had bought bunk bed frames that were bolted together 2 x 4s and they worked fine. You could probably make some, stain or paint them yourself, if you have some basic skills, for about $40.00. You would need to buy or build a ladder of course also.
Check out your local college or university in the spring, a lot of students make their own for dorm rooms and dump them afterward to avoid moving them. Some of those are really functional, with desks, shelves, etc. Good luck.
