Good mattress protector for a good price. Mattress warehouse tried to charge me $70 for one. This is just as good and a third the cost.

Bought this because we have an old cat that sometimes has accidents on our bed (he likes to sleep on the corner and he’s really old so we let him sleep there) and I do NOT want to have to buy a new king size mattress. The cover is soft as other reviewers have said (and it didn’t have that yucky vinyl smell like most other mattress protectors have, which is a plus) but the plastic lining under the terrycloth is VERY thin. So’s the terry part. I don’t care about the terry fabric on top of it being kinda thin; I do care very much that the plastic lining is so flimsy that after the cat jumped on the bed ONE time there were holes in the cover.
I can’t return it because of the damage from the cat’s claws, but I guess I am going to have to do what I should have done in the first place and go to a medical supply store for a heavy duty rubberized mattress pad (like the ones in a baby crib that you put under the sheets but bigger.) I know the cat’s claws won’t go through that.
If you don’t have cats (or dogs) that like to sleep on the bed, it will probably do fine for your needs.
